Title – Antiragging week celebration
Date and Venue- 12-18 Aug 2025, Seminar Hall.
Organized by- Antiragging/ Disciplinary Committee of RAMCH, BIU.
Brief introduction/ Purpose of event:
This programme is observed across the country during 12th Aug 2025 to 18th Aug 2025 as a part of UGC’s initiatives to spread awareness among students about the harmful effect of ragging and to ensure that every student feel safe, respected and welcomed in campus.
Participants/ audience:
All students, staff and faculty, Antiragging/Disciplinary Committee members of Rohilkhand Ayurvedic Medical college and Hospital.
Outcome / takeaway:
The faculty member and committee member spread awareness among students. The students took pledge not to be involved in any kind of ragging activities directly or indirectly. The dignitaries ensure a ragging free, safe campus which is a symbol of trust, dignity, and mutual respect for all.
Brief report:
The Antiragging committee/ Disciplinary committee is actively participated during this time period. The brief reports about this programme is as follows-
Day -1 –Dt.12.08.2025- Inauguration
The Program started with the Inauguration, introduction of the dignitaries, Lamp lighting and Prayer. Speech by students, Principal and other dignitaries. Antiragging Pledge by students.
The Principal, Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Tewari, started with a brief introduction about the background and objectives of the Antiragging week, different Acts or rules related to Antiragging. A detailed explanation on all aspect and consequences of ragging was discussed before the students. He included Verbal, Visual, Physical, Psychological and Digital harassment. He also informed the students about the role of Antiragging and Disciplinary Committee and also informed how it works. He added the committee will receive and inquiries regarding the complaints received, the committee maintain the confidentially and solve the problem fairly.
He explained the procedure of raising a complaint and also about the punishment if the complaint is found to be false or malicious. He concluded the session by adding the importance of Antiragging Committee in his speech.
Day -2 –(Dt.13.08.2025)- POSTER PRESENTATION COMPETITION
